  11. Actually…Man-u-el….people was still not digging the stuff he did when he went back to JD. He was still getting mad negative comments. Not saying that that was a bad move. He was right to move back to JD when he did. However, on this mixtape alone…which by the way, is already at like 30.000 downloads, is getting way more positive feed back. So I don’t know if JD and the Oceans is gonna disapprove. I mean..I’m sure Bow confided in his pops with the whole decision anyway. JD is like his biggest Mentor.

    When I think of Cash Money I think of Gold Teeth, Mannie Fresh Beats, Juvi, Wayne kissing Baby, and Bling Bling. Cash Money be on that gangsta shit! Baby and Wayne claim to be bloods now. How does Bow Wow fit into Cash Money?

    This is just me, but I thought Bow Wow fit more on that Oceans shit or solo. To me Cash Money is not a good look.

It’s good for Cash Money..Young Money and everybody on that label cause what does this mean. Well Manny..I’m gonna tell ya. You got Wayne who has a big ass fan base and chicks diggin him and he rich as hell. You got Bow who got a nice size fan base too and growing now that he’s made this move. And he too can’t keep the ladies away and is rich as rich. Yes! I said RICH AS RICH! This kat is fealthy! And of course Drake who is blowing up before our eyes. You put all these people on one label who is getting mad love and what do you get? What did Big Poppa and lil cum say..I mean lil kim. “Get Money.” These young kats is smart. It’s basically friends coming together and wiping out and getting rid of these bullshit labels who are taking away artist money and true expressions. Everybody aint got to be rapping about the same thing or acting and dressing the same way. I mean, can’t we all be individuals and still be able to work and make money together. I don’t see how that is a bad move or choice of the matter.

  16. Yeah…you right. We both have our opinions. I hear you. However, signing with Soulja would be a woop wop mistake. He’s still learning and Wayne and Bow been in the game way longer. And when I said labels…I was speaking of the major labels. The ones before kats was starting there on. I’m speaking of the big corp. labels. You know…the ones where the Jewish man is making all the decisions and signing the checks. And so far as for people sticking on a label. That’s how the music business is. You can be here today and gone tomorrow. I mean…that’s why we have one hit wonders. And I bet the ones still a live is still cashing in. But for real. I hear you man. This was a great debate. We’ll have to do this again.

  19. Lets me get in here…. If it don’t make dollars it don’t make sense. The bottom line is that the last Bow Wow album flopped. It all comes down to income and expenses. Sony shot a Hype Williams video and everything. Yall know how much it cost to work radio and tv? It was the wrong single!!! I told JD, this is just one of the things he and I disagree on. If they would have dropped that “Pole in my basement” song first, the album would have sold a lot more. I was upset about this album because if it would have took off then hopefully they would have appointed JD as president of the black music at columbia/sony which they don’t even have anymore. They got rid of all the black artist!! If JD was in charge then hopefully he would be putting out more new acts. The sales were just not there!! If I was in the room, they wouldn’t have dropped that single!! But I might be too real for JD and his decision making team but they better get somebody like me in there!!! LOL

    I have one problem with Bow bow….But first I want to thank Bow wow for putting me up on life time fitness!! Your boy is in the gym 4 days a week getting right!!!…. With that said, I went to Bow wows youtube page and heard him dissing Snoop, saying snoop ripped him off!!! THIS IS A WHOLE OTHER DEBATE,,,,HOW CAN THE PERSON THAT PUT YOU IN THE GAME RIP YOU OFF?????

    If it was not for snoop you would not be living in Sugarloaf you would be in Decatur with me!!! I understand how artist feel but their is a price to be paid to the person that brings you into this game. The same way Snoop had to pay that price to Suge!! I consider myself to be friends with my artists but if I took you from being nobody to famous then they are going to have to pay me a price for that. The only reason why Bow Wow can go and get more money from Cash Money goes right back to Snoop putting him on!!

    This is just my opinion.

  20. Here we go, Bow Wow to me doesn’t have a lane to call his own, therefore he is in an out of everybody else’s. I think that he wants to be #1 so bad that anything that is hot for a minute he’ll jump on it. I understand it is important to stay current with what’s going on, but at the sametime everything doesn’t work for everybody. Example, my fellow Chicago rep Common’s first 2 albums with GOOD Music (classics) had that sound (K.West excellent production) and was consistant on both albums. His last album carried a different twist that did not stick on anyone’s radar. With all do respect to Common.

    I respect that fact the Bow wants to venture out and do something different, but if that means taking on that Wayne and Drake style, thats not really being different is it? I think a new label and new producers can be a good thing for Bow just like Mannie leaving CMB gave Wayne the opt to take on a different sound, but the difference is Wayne had a lane to drive in. Bow has to understand that fans of his from day one know his story, so anything outside of his norm seems fake which makes him look like he is trying to hard. Maybe Sony never let him venture to far b/c JD gave him a lane and a car to drive in but they never put to the petal to the floor like we know the could have.

    In regards to JD i think he just wants him to do well. He has giving him all the tools and more, at this point it is up to him want he builds with them. JD has his lane as one of the best producers of our era and he has said he want to continue to break new acts. Dondria, Johnta, Oceans, and the B.Cox album, not to mention other artist he is working with maybe more enticing to him.

  24. I like the mixtape. I’m biased, cause I’m from Ohio, and I want to see Bow Wow do well. I imagine that JD wants him to do well. He’s had a slightly hard road, because he came out at such a young age. You can count the rappers that have been out there since they were four years old…. let’s see…I can count… just one. He’s transitioning, his fans grew up, he has to find his own road. I don’t think he sounds like Drake at all. He sounds like BOW WOW to me. I’m saying, he doesn’t sound like Wayne either. I’m cool with his beats switching up, and I like the Common comment, however I was ok with Common’s album produced by Pharell. Now, I do understand he made more classics with Kanye, but I’m just not mad at change.

    Dude is only 22, he’s been in the game since he was four, we’re going to hear him do even more changing before it’s all said and done. Think about how LL sounded in the beginning, and how his last song sounded.

    This mixtape is getting much better reviews. CONGRATS BOW WEEZY ( and we’ve been calling him that since DAY ONE!)

    Well that is good, I am glad that I was wrong about Bow and Snoop. No matter what, you have to respect that first person that saw something in you that nobody else didn’t see and took a chance on you. Sometimes that’s all the difference in the world.

    That’s so true. His mixtape is close to or already at 400,000 downloads. So he’s doing something that people are liking. I guess we shall see when that first album off the new label comes out. I know I’m wishing him the best.

  27. Everybody got they opinion on what lane Bow Wow is in. NO ONE knows the things Bow wow has been threw or what his feelings are in life so we can’t sit here and say that HE is taken on Drake or Waynes style. Since he have been out he has been doing what people expected of him and all along it was never what he wanted to do. Sony or whatever label he was on made him do what they thought he should do and what they thought would sell best but utimately that was a fail on they part. I think he signed with CMB because they let they artist do what they want they all got that freedom and nobody is holding them back. To me it was a good move now we all will finally see who Bow Wow is and stop the judgements. The mixtape has already proven that he’s more than what we seen before…40k downloads good reviews from fans,celebs and bloggers cum on now he deserve and we deserve to know who Shad Moss is and for him to find hi “lane”

    I think everyone knows bow wow gots talent the problem is finding that lane, and to me cash money is not the lane. Cash money is on some gangsta shit and we all know bow wow is not no gangsta.

  30. No matter what label an ‘artist’ is on, or what situation an artist is in that artist will paint a picture. You can tie an artist down with strings but those strings will NEVER stop that artists brush from moving. Basically no matter what label Bow Wow is on he will be alright. We aren’t buying his label, we are buying his music and he’s a vet in the game so he knows what type of effort he has to put in to make his promo effective. I’m sure he will be fine. Cash Money, No money, Young money or So so def money that man will be alright.

    i read JD’s book and he was hurt when he switched labels and only DA BRAT wanted to follow him there. i dont know how jd feels now, i dont think hes commented on this yet. i hope jd announces where he will release his SOSODEF soon we cant wait for new music from the GOAT. but i hope this doesnt sour there relationship. JD AND BOW WOW need each other i thought new jack city 2 was a great album just not marketed correctly. anyways i hope it all works out bow wow is a great talent and i hope when its all said and done he goes down in history.

    i just wish some artist would be like tupac and make great music about a variety of subjects not just about STUNTTIN
