NEW CAR CONTINENTAL FLYING STAR

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! THE $800,000 BENTLY STATION WAGON

At the Geneva Motor Show Bentley just unveiled a stunning two-door station wagon or “shooting brake” model dubbed the Continental Flying Star built by Italian coachwork firm Touring Superleggera. Based on either the Bentley Continental GTC with a 560 hp twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine, or the GTC Speed with a 610 hp engine, only 20 examples will be built at a base price of about $800,000 apiece. The car’s completely new rear compartment features two foldable rear seats and a variable loading space. The term “shooting brake” does not refer to the braking system but originated with custom built two-door luxury estate cars altered for use by hunters and other sportsmen such as golfers, equestrians, and polo players requiring easy access to larger storage areas than offered by the typical automobile trunk. NEW CAR 2009 Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing Panamericana Replica

DAMN!! MY DRIVEWAY WOULD LOOK SO CRAZY WITH THIS SITTING IN IT

The Mercedes Gullwing is one of the most sought-after vehicles on any auction block. In the 50s and 60s, it was a revolution; produced in very limited numbers, it was the fastest production vehicle available at the time and it was also the first to use direct fuel injection. Besides being at the pinnacle of technology, its trademark gullwing doors are what defined its legacy. This 2009 iteration of the classic 300SL retains the gullwing doors and also ups the ante with a 5.5L, 370hp AMG-sourced engine. The amazing curves of the aluminum and fiberglass body mimic the original lines of the car, and they are simply breathtaking. Side exit exhaust, removed bumpers, and AMG custom wheels are just some of the few new-school touches that make this old-school hotrod a modern classic.

NEW CAR Mercedes-Benz Releases F800 Style Concept ahead of Geneva Show

THIS IS KINDA HOT CHECK OUT HOW THE BACK DOOR OPENS

Feast your eyes on the latest design study from Mercedes-Benz. Called the F800 Style, the show car is, for the time being, purely a concept car, but we can expect to see elements appear in future Mercedes production vehicles in the near future.

For starters, the cutting-edge design. The F800 Style is expected to preview a new design direction for Benz, with the grille from the SLS AMG melded into a dynamic, organic but sharp shape. The shape is particularly expected to show the way forward for the next generation of the CLS-Class, Mercedes’ four-door coupe that spawned a new sub-segment in luxury sedans.

Under the hood, Mercedes has also installed its latest green propulsion systems. The hybrid powertrain pairs a V6 engine with an electric motor for the equivalent of 400 horsepower, with plug-in capabilities meaning it can run on electricity alone. The system is expected to make it into the next-generation production S-Class hybrid. The company is also toying with a hydrogen fuel cell set-up, but that’s a little farther off.

NEW CAR Porsche Pumps Up the new 911 Turbo S

JOHNTA JUST GOT THIS DROP TOP, THIS WAS MY FAVORITE CAR

The Porsche 911 is a bit of love-it-or-hate-it affair. Some say it’s the worst design ever imagined for a sportscar. Others point out that it’s been smoothed to perfection over the course of decades. Whichever way you look at it, Porsche’s engineers certainly don’t rest from improving the formula, and this is their latest result: the 911 Turbo S.

There hasn’t been a Turbo S in the 911 range for about five years now, and it’s been fondly missed by Porschephiles. While the current 911 Turbo produces 500 horsepower, the new Turbo S trumps that with 530 – the same as the 911 GT2, only with four-wheel drive and a dual-clutch transmission. The result? 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 196 miles per hour. Available in both coupe and convertible form, the 911 Turbo S will be unveiled shortly in Geneva, after which it will go on sale across Europe starting in May with a base price of €145,400 for the coupe and €154,900 for the Cabriolet, both before taxes.

NEW CAR 2011 Land Rover LRX to Debut at Paris Motor Show

MAN THIS SHIT LOOK STOOOPID !!!!!!!!!!

Is the world ready for a kinder, gentler Sport Utility Vehicle? Land Rover is betting on it, and the rugged British off-road brand will reportedly debut its hotly anticipated LRX at the Paris Motor Show later this year. Shortly thereafter, the production LRX will make its North American debut in LA. According to Automotive News, the LRX will go on sale in the third quarter of 2011.

We first saw the LRX Concept at the 2008 edition of the Detroit Auto Show, where it was generally well received by both the press and the showgoing public. The LRX is expected to be Land Rover’s most efficient model and is likely to be offered with some sort of hybrid powertrain.

Late last year, Autocar reported that Land Rover’s first hybrid drivetrain would include a 3.0-liter diesel V6 engine mated up to a 25kW electric motor. The system would be a full parallel hybrid, meaning it could operate on any combination of gasoline or electricity using its onboard lithium ion battery pack.

NEW CAR Review: 2010 Audi S5 Quattro Coupe

AUDI STEP THEIR GAME ALL THE WAY UP!!!!! I WAS NEVER A BIG AUDI FAN BUT BETWEEN SLIM, ROCCO AND THESE NEW LOOKS THEY HAVE MY EYES NOW

Thirty years ago at the Geneva Motor Show Audi launched itself in a new direction when unveiled a new coupe based on its then current 80/4000 mid-size model. The Quattro coupe took its name from the innovative new all-wheel-drive system that propelled it. Up until the Quattro vehicles that spun all four wheels were typically about off-road traction not performance enhancement. Audi created a system that sent power to all the wheels, all the time without having the kind of jacked up appearance of Jeep. Three decades of winning rally stages and road races have proven conclusively that Quattro works.

I NEED TO SWITCH OUT ASAP!!!!!

Bentley is set to introduce the motoring press to what it claims is the World’s Fastest Four-Seat Convertible next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Naturally, that would also make it the fastest convertible Bentley has ever turned out. Like the hardtop Continental Supersports that the British luxury brand introduced a little while back, the drop-top features a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine that puts out 621 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque whether running on gasoline, ethanol or a combination of the two.

THIS SHIT JUST LOOKS LIKE MONEY

When you’re the one drilling the oil, you can have all the Rolls-Royces you want. That’s why the Persian Gulf has been getting what seems like an endless procession of special Phantoms, created exclusively for the sheikhs and emirs.

The latest has just made its way online. Called the Yas Eagle, it was released to commemorate the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix a few months ago. It could be ordered on either the Phantom saloon, Phantom Coupe or Drophead Coupe, and features a series of special touches: the exterior has been painted two-tone blue and white, the interior in blue with red accents and blue wood veneers. Even the hood ornament is illuminated.
