IF YOU’RE A LIFER THAN YOU KNOW THE STORY OF DONDRIA BUT IF NOT LET ME HIP YOU.  ALMOST A YEAR AGO I FOUND THIS YOUNG LADY ON YOUTUBE AND I SIGNED HER. I WAS CHARGED BY HER WORK ETHIC ON YOUTUBE AND HOW THE PEOPLE REALLY CONNECTED WITH HER. MY INTEREST IN HER INTRODUCED ME TO THE POWER OF YOUTUBE AND OTHER SOCIAL NETWORKING OUTLETS. I BEEN PAYING ATTENTION TO THE INTERNET AND ITS POWER FOR ALONG TIME.  IF YOU REMEMBER WHEN I WAS HEAD OF URBAN MUSIC AT VIRGIN I CREATED A CONTEST WHERE JANET FANS COULD CREATE HER COVER. WHICH WAS SUPER SUCCESSFUL AS WELL AS THE FIRST OF ITS KIND. NOW WITH DONDRIA I’M PICKING UP WHERE I LEFT OFF WITH THAT. I’M SURE IF YOUR A FAN YOU’VE BEEN WONDERING WHEN THE HELL IS HE GONNA PUT OUT HER RECORD. THEY ALWAYS MAKING VIDEOS BUT I NEVER HEAR ANYTHING. THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION IS: ON NOV 23rd THE FIRST SINGLE (YOUR THE ONE) WRITTEN AND PRODUCED BY ME AND B COX WILL BE AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE.

She is such a cute girl but something about this photo of her does not represent her well. her face looks swollen. I’m just being honest. U can delete comment if u want to. But I have seen much better pictures of her. Maybe it’s the angle the way her face is turned. Sorry! I do luv her music. I’m really not hating or being mean just honest imo.

  9. I have heard the story of Dondria’s discovery and have witnessed her road to stardom. I think it is great that JD stepped out of the box to find her and others in the entertainment business should follow . Then again if I recall JD has always been a leader and never a follower.   21. You should try to get Dondria on Youtube’s Music Tuesday JD. That’s where they highlight new music on the front page of Youtube. They featured Esmee Denters and Priscilla Renea. With Esmee, they had a live showcase of her singing 3 songs off her album and a video of Justin Timberlake introducing her. With Priscilla Renea, they did her official video for her single DollHouse, a video her singing the single live, and an introduction video to with Priscilla saying who she is and how she us Youtube.

    You should change Dondria banners on her channel to show the release date and the single artwork. You should consider a Youtube campaign that I mention with big Youtubers using her track in a video. You will be the first to do it in the music industry. You can contact Youtube and they can give you of a list of people you might want to work.

    I’m not affiliated with Youtube. I have just seen other companies do this like Carl Jr’s and Ford and their campaign generated about 5 million views in a month between all the Yotuubers. If I was doing marketing for Dondria’s release this is what I would do along with all the urban blog sites.

    I would call in a favor from Fab and 00711 and ask them to make Dondria a trending topic on Twitter. Something like #dondriacansinglike or #dondriayourtheonesingleis on the release date JD.

    I’m just be real. You was new to social media game when you release Can’t Stop and it showed. You have release your mixtape and got a year in on all the shit now. So you need to come to correct with your shit this time man. LOL!!! Don’t fuck our girl’s shit up or we gonna be on your ass son. LOL!!! You don’t want to see #JDfuckupDondriaProject as a trending topic. LOL!!! Just jokes JD. Good luck and Good luck Dondria!!!

  24. Sandy, I agree with you. Dondra is such a beautiful girl, and that picture does not show the extent of her beauty that we see on youtube. I don’t think her face looks fat, I think the picture is not soft enough. I think also that all of the hair takes away from her face. Dondria, your voice is awesome, I was listening to you sing on Youtube before you were signed. Last night I was watching the blog you had up with the 4 people singing, and there was a brief pause because someone had not connected yet to sing and you started singing a little bit just playing around and I said WOW, Such an awesome voice.     I think you should have let the lifers vote for the top 3 photos to put on the cover for her cover art. People are saying that this picture is not her best look. Hhhhhmmmm. It’s not going to kill her but, don’t people want a poster-like picture for an album cover? Trey Songz album cover for Ready is killin it! – like a wall poster.

    Anyway. Much success. The lifers are providing great feedback. Next time, give us a chance to preview the artwork before you set it in stone.

  49. Yo Mr. JD can do something for those people like me that possess a pictorial mind ( Music Video Directors). There’s a very small outlet for talented young directors to get quality artist to showcase our skills. I’m so tired of seeing the same concept for videos it’s not an art anymore. Anybody can rent a Bentley ,grab some lady out of a club, and buy stacks of fake $$$$ from the prop store. Good Photography inspires me and a shot of rims is uninspiring. Just throwing it out there like you did w/ the Janet contest. Thanks

  52. Pat on the back for a much improved image for Dondria. I have to agree with other comments… The picture above is not flattering. This industry is filled with a lot of female “talent” that can’t even touch Dondria’s vocal ability. But they are “pretty”, “divas”, “models” etc… if Dondria isn’t any of those things it’s totally fine… yet even if she is going to be the girl next door she has to give the visual appearance as the “picture perfect” girl next door. The picture composition isn’t the problem. I have to say it’s the hairstyle. Graphic Design: I’m not impressed with the font selection or color choice and I don’t like how her head breaks the border it does not give off the three dimensional vibe) … Many wishes of success for Dondria. JD maybe you should use your love of social networking… let the fans pick promo pics and single covers… it’s for us anyway…didn’t we choose Dondria over Phatfat?

I understand she has to compete with those other female artist but there are other ways that she can be totally and completley creative!   56. @ tony: cosign on algebra all day. met her after a performance at south street seaport this summer and she was outstanding. she’s a tiny lil thang but she can saaang! and she was so sweet and humble when she signed autographs. we couldn’t understand why people didn’t have her album or why she didn’t get the buzz she deserved.

    @lea: cosign on “can you help me” and it’s an awesome song. and i really hope she has “weight of my tears” on the album as well. i stay playing that song several times a week since the summer and i would have liked that to have been her 1st single. people need to hear that track.

    i’m just proud that dondria is living her dream and is continuing to work hard at her craft. it’s great to see the actual process as it happens. hope broadway gets the buzz he deserves as well because that young man is talented and it would be a shame to lose out on his potential.
