I CAME BACK FROM BLOG WORLD AND TALKED ABOUT BEING INTRODUCED TO THE POKEN, A FEW DAYS LATER THE COMPANY REACHED OUT TO ME AND MADE A CUSTOM SO SO DEF POKEN
The true Geek Sexy will soon all have a Poken. It’s a social network business card and hip technology accessory that attaches easily to a keychain, conference badge, etc. The Poken centralizes all of your contact information along with your social networks and online information (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, blog, YouTube, etc). It’s a funny name, but a great concept. No more writing down your email or phone number on a random piece of paper at a club or handing out a business card at a networking event (which may or may not make it into someone’s address book). All you have to do* is touch your Poken to someone else’s (known as the “high four”) and your contact information is swapped. When you get back to your computer, insert your Poken into a USB drive and all of your new contacts are automatically imported. The Poken is recognized by all computers as a standard USB memory stick and doesn’t need to install any software. While you can’t all have my So So Def Poken they come in some pretty cool designs. *You do have to create a Poken account online in order to store your information.

Great design. I know it’s something that you’ll use on a daily basis or it will be added to your SO SO DEF memorabilia. Either way it’s a win win.

Cool concept, but not sure I want one more thing to carry. (Videographer)
The Iphone has had this same concept for awhile now. Its called “Bump”, more or less, giving someone dab.
You create your bump profile, include anything you like, including a picture.
Then once you meet someone and want to exchange info you just open the app and bump Iphones.
Instantly added to contacts, updates on computer as well, once you sync the phone.
They have a similar app for pictures and files as well.
Though a custom poken for my company would be hot… Marketing is marketing.
Would love to do an Ocean’s 7 video, even a viral video of an Ocean’s night on the town showcasing you guys and this concept.
