Last week Swatch debuted the latest in its CreART series of artist collaborations. (Haring contributed designs in the eighties, like this ‘86 model.) Cartoon-influenced styles by Dutch designer Ted Scapa, French street artist Grems, New Yorker Matthew Langille, and Billy the Artist recall the bounce and verve of early Haring work. They’re not as boardroom-friendly as some other timepieces we could mention, but they should be just fine at the next Deitch opening. Odds are, if you’re a die-hard Haring acolyte, you’re not all that boardroom-friendly, either.
